So here's a little Q&A between me and you based on questions that I've been receiving.

Q. I'm interested in doing an interview. How do I get involved?

A. Shoot over an email to weirding@bornwithhair.com. Tell me a little bit about yourself and be sure to include links to your music (like on Bandcamp). If I'm interested, I'll let you know and we can go from there.

Q. How often do you publish interviews?

A. The goal is to publish once a week, usually on a Tuesday. Sometimes I publish more than that.

Q. Do you do album reviews?

A. Nope.

Q. Why do you do this?

A. I've always loved interviews, whether print, radio, whatever. There are some great music journalists keeping up the long tradition of music interviews, but as a musician myself there are questions that I've always wanted to ask other musicians that I never see in these interviews. So I started up Growls and Shrieks as a place to read conversations between artists.

Q. I'd be interested in interviewing a band. Can we make that happen?

A. Not yet, I'm still getting the hang of this myself.

Q. What do you look for when considering whether to do an interview?

A. Usually, I'm looking for artists whose work fits outside the typical borders. That's really the most important thing. I'm not choosing things specifically based on genre or popularity or anything else. I'm really just looking for people I'd like to learn more about and who might be fun to have a conversation with. Feel free to reach out on Twitter (@bornwithhair) and suggest someone.
